RED WING, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Minnesota corrections officials said two boys who had gone missing from the Red Wing juvenile prison are back in custody.
Department of Corrections spokesman John Schadl said the two were picked up by Goodhue County Sheriff's officials and have been taken back to the Red Wing facility.
The 16 and 17-year-old boys went missing at about 8:20 p.m. Sunday at the minimum-security facility. They made their way over a fence and correctional staff noticed they were missing 20-minutes later.
With the help of local law enforcement, the boys were discovered Monday morning near the bluffs outside of Red Wing after a tip call from an area resident.
