
ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- You will have a chance to safely get rid of unwanted prescription drugs on Saturday.
Mayo Clinic and the Rochester Police Department are joining forces for the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
You can drop off unwanted prescription and over-the-counter drugs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gonda Building circle drive entrance of Mayo Clinic on Third Avenue SW. Just drive up and hand off any prescriptions or over-the-counter drugs. The medications will be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way.
Freeborn County is also collecting unwanted medications on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds in Albert Lea. If you can't attend this drop off, Freeborn County has a drug drop box available 24/7 at the Government Center on South Broadway.
