ORONOCO, Minn. (FOX 47) -- A 19-year-old woman who was rescued after falling into the Zumbro River in Oronoco is back at home.
Christina Fredin is recovering from mild hypothermia and first-degree frostbite on one of her legs.
Emergency crews were called to the 1000 block of White Bridge Road Northwest shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday.
According to her father, David Fredin, Christina was trying to climb up a hill when she fell and rolled into the river.
A deputy found Fredin. The two held on to a passerby's kayak before a pontoon arrived and took them to a nearby boat landing.
An ambulance transported Fredin to Saint Marys Hospital because of exposure to the cold.
