Security threat at Mayo High School

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Mayo High School is "taking every precaution necessary" after a security threat on Monday.

In an email sent to school families at 3:17 p.m. Monday, Principal Tom Olson said school officials are working with Rochester police and that "there is no reason students should not feel safe to be in school tomorrow."

The email asks parents to speak with their student to see if he or she knows anything about the threat. Parents are asked to call the school at (507) 328-5577.
