iPhone craze hits Rochester - KXLT - Fox 47 Rochester MN News, Weather and Sports

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- iPhone 5 hits store shelves Friday morning. In the early hours, people were already camped outside of stores waiting for the doors to open. Even at 2:30 a.m. Friday outside the Rochester Crossroads AT&T stores lines were forming.

Many people said they lined up at midnight, others a bit earlier. Even with the chilly temperatures, consumers agreed, being some of the first to get their hands on the phone is worth the wait.

Diana Le got in line at midnight and says, "I've never waited for anything this long. I guess it's exciting. Last year I pre-ordered and I waited too long so I'd rather take my chances and get it in store."

Many Verizon and AT&T stores open each day at 8:00 a.m.
