ALBERT LEA, Minn. (FOX 47) -- The Freeborn County Board of Commissioners voted Tuesday night to fire one of the county's two jail administrators.
Marcellino Peña had been on administrative leave since July.
Peña was at the center of an investigation related to allegations of misconduct. He supervised jail security, but County Administrator John Kluever says the troubles were "more management-related and staff-related... not security-related." Kluever declined to be more specific.
Peña had been an employee of the Freeborn County Sheriff's Office for about eight years.
