
AUSTIN, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Employees at Hormel Foods in Austin are being screened for tuberculosis after a worker there tested positive for the disease.
Mower County Public Health notified Hormel after the employee was diagnosed, and identified additional employees to be screened.
So far, no other cases of tuberculosis have been found.
"Hormel Foods will continue to follow the direction of the Public Health Department," according to a statement issued by Hormel Foods. "TB is a health issue and is not a risk to food safety."
