
NEAR JANESVILLE, Minn. (FOX 47) -- A 19-year-old Janesville man has died in a grain bin accident.
Crews were called shortly before 12:45 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a man trapped in a grain bin at 7110 403rd Ave. in Janesville.
Jared Weckwerth, 19, was helping a farmer remove corn from the bin and went in it to increase the flow of corn when it slowed, according to the Waseca County Sheriff's Office. His co-workers called 911 and rescue crews attempted to remove grain from the bin. Authorities found the body of Weckwerth at 2:35 p.m. and consider his death an accident.
