Deputies: Crash witness please come forward - KXLT - Fox 47 Rochester MN News, Weather and Sports

BYRON, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Olmsted County deputies are hoping a witness to Tuesday afternoon's fatal crash in Byron will come forward.

The crash took the life of 17-year-old Deianerah Logan when she rear-ended the bus with the minivan she was driving.

According to the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office, school bus surveillance video shows that a red or maroon SUV pulled up to the accident approximately six seconds after it happened. Someone got out of the vehicle walked over and looked at the accident and then got back in their SUV and left the scene.

Deputies say this person could possibly provide very important information regarding what happened in the moments leading up to the crash.

Law enforcement says this witness is not wanted for criminal reasons but strictly to give an account of what they saw.

While law enforcement is looking for help the family is asking for privacy at this time during what will be an emotional weekend. Deej's funeral and visitation will be at the Community Celebration Church in Byron.

Her visitation will go from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
