
AUSTIN, Minn. (FOX 47) -- An Austin woman has been arrested for using a guitar as a weapon in a domestic assault.
Robyn Halverson, 56, was arrested at 10:44 p.m. Friday after a domestic dispute turned violent in a home in the 400 block of First Street Southwest in Austin.
Police Chief Brian Krueger says a 53-year-old man was bleeding profusely from a cut on his head, he had been "smacked over the head" with an acoustic guitar. The chief says the Abilene acoustic guitar has been taken into evidence.
The man told police Halverson vowed to smash his big-screen TV and he had to stop her.
Halvorsen was jailed over the weekend and held for a court appearance on a second degree assault charge.
