
WINONA, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Four local American Red Cross volunteers are assisting with preparations for Tropical Storm Isaac.
Tom Lee of Winona will work as a government liaison supervisor and coordinate Red Cross efforts with city, state and national officials.
Gary Peterson of Rochester traveled to Hattiesburg, Miss. to help the Red Cross and work as a government liaison supervisor.
Richard Stehlik of Austin and Gordon Lewis of Albert Lea will work within a Red Cross shelter, many of which are already operating in advance of the storm.
The Red Cross also is mobilizing disaster workers, emergency vehicles, mobile kitchens and relief supplies to Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi.
