ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- Law enforcement is asking for the public's help in finding possible victims of a level three sex offender.
Olmsted County deputies say Brian Broulik, 40, has a 16 year history of criminal sexual conduct involving children.
Deputies say they searched Broulik's car on May 24 and found pornographic images of children. At that time Broulik was a manager at Seneca Foods. The investigation found Broulik had victimized several children in different locations throughout southeastern Minnesota.
"He's very active, very nomadic in how he's able to travel to
different jurisdictions across our state," said Sgt. Tom Claymon of the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office.
Broulik has been convicted twice of second-degree criminal sexual conduct in Steele County. He also was convicted in Freeborn County in 2008 of violating a predatory registration requirement.
"It involves victims in different communities and that's part of what's going on right now," Sgt. Claymon said. "We want to make sure we don't have a victim out there that hasn't reported this yet."
According to court documents, Broulik violated a restraining order on June 5 issued by a previous coworker to keep him away from the coworker and his two young sons. Broulik allegedly followed them, made harassing phone calls and showed up at the family's daycare.
Most recently, Broulik was charged in Mower County with third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim between the ages of 13 and 15. Broulik is currently being held in the Mower County jail.
"If there are additional victims, this is more to give them the resources that they need, the help that they need to overcome something like this," Sgt. Claymon said.
Law enforcement is asking for help from the public in finding anyone with children who may have had connections with Broulik. Anyone with information is asked to call the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office at (507) 328-6758.
