Cilantro possibly contaminated with salmonella

ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 47) -- The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is warning not to eat fresh cilantro sold at certain stores in southeastern Minnesota because of possible salmonella contamination.

The fresh cilantro was sold in bunches that were shipped to retailers in Minnesota between July 26 and Aug. 6.

The cilantro was sold at the following stores:

Byron Market Place

Chatfield Sunshine Foods

Lake City Fiesta

Preston Foods

Red Wing Buchanan Grocery

Rushford Foods

Spring Valley Sunshine Foods

Zumbrota Hub Food Center

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture told stores that have the cilantro to remove the product from their shelves.

If you bought the cilantro bunches, you're advised to throw them out or return them to the store for a refund.

No illnesses have been reported. The source of the cilantro is not known.
