Man robbed, punched Friday in Rochester - KXLT - Fox 47 Rochester MN News, Weather and Sports

ROCHESTER, Minn. (FOX 47) -- A 50-year-old man was mugged and punched in the face late last week in Rochester, police said.

The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 900 block of 13th St. SE at 1:30 p.m. on August 3 when he said a man approached him from behind and tried to grab a wallet out of his back pocket.

The victim tried to swat the man away and said the robber punched him in the face. The victim said the last he saw of the robber was him running away.

The robber made off with the man's wallet, but it didn't contain any valuables. The robber was described as a black male, 5'11" wearing a white baseball hat, white t-shirt and black shorts.
