AUSTIN, Minn. (FOX 47) --- An Austin man spent the night in jail after allegedly hitting his stepson in the head with a broomstick.
Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger says Matthew Lewis was arrested on a city bike path, after leaving the scene of the dispute on the 300 block of 1st Street Southeast.
Lewis is 25 years old, his step-son is 21.
The chief says the younger man was watching TV with his own child, when Lewis came in demanding to know what happened to his Madden video game.
After a verbal argument, the stepson says he was struck on the right side of his head with a broomstick.
