ALBERT LEA, Minn. (AP) -- The second of the two young women charged in the case of alleged abuse at an Albert Lea nursing home is expected to appear in Freeborn County District Court on Monday.
The attorney for 19-year-old Brianna Broitzman of Albert Lea has filed a motion questioning Broitzman's statements to investigators.
The motions mirror ones made from co-defendant Ashton Michelle Larson's attorney, Evan Larson, also questioning the constitutionality of his client's statements.
When Larson made her last court appearance, the judge scheduled a time to hear evidence on her attorney's motions. A similar outcome is expected for Broitzman on Monday.
Police allege that over several months in 2008, the pair allegedly sexually and psychologically abused a number of elderly patients.
