Man ejected through windshield in Freeborn County crash

FREEBORN COUNTY, Minn. (FOX 47) -- A man has been airlifted to Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester after flipping his vehicle on a Freeborn County road early Thursday morning.

Deputies say 26-year-old Joshua Kermes was seriously hurt when he went flying through the windshield of his pickup truck when it crashed.

A passerby called 911 and reported seeing a man lying in the middle of County Road 20, just north of Albert Lea.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Kermes came from a bar and alcohol could have been a factor in the crash.

Kermes is listed in good condition.
